The news blog has not been updated in a while but here are some of the latest iDroid updates:

The latest OpeniBoot code has been pushed to the public GitHub repo (link on the left). However, please be advised that porting is still ongoing and one still cannot install OpeniBoot or Android on newer devices.
The linux 2.6.39 kernel has been forked and is being refactored for the original supported devices and the newer devices. Take note that one needs the latest OpeniBoot to load the kernel on the iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 1G. The zephyr 1 driver (multitouch) for the iPhone 2G is being worked on so it won't compile or load for the iPhone 2G just yet.

Thank you for supporting the iDroid Project. Please help us in anyway you can through donations, help in developing and coding--not testing though (we already have enough testers), helping in the wiki and the forums, and most important of all, not bothering the developers with questions about ETAs.

FTL reading on 3GS and A4

Bluerise (twitter @BluerisEN) has gotten his iPhone 4 and iPad 1st gen to read the system partition and to load OpeniBoot.

This is great progress but writing capabilities are still not there and this will not yet load a kernel. Bluerise also needs further data, so testers please visit http://www.idroidproject.org/forum/openiboot-75/openiboot-ftl-and-filesystem-read-tests-on-newer-idevices/ to help contribute data. The data you provide will help fix bugs and will help porting progress faster.

Note: As of posting, you will need 64-bit linux to run loadibec and oibc.

11.04 Pepparkaka Release Notes

NOTE: Launcher2 (The standard Android launcher) DOES NOT SUPPORT ROTATION, so dont moan that the accelerometer doesnt work if thats your test*

The system menus only also rotate in 2 directions, not 3, so holding your phone upside down will not yield the correct angle*
*Above points verified by running ezGingerbread on my G1
Like the rest of the Android community, we have now switched to ext4 images. This journalled filesystem results in significantly reduced corruption and data resiliency, at the expense of additional writes to the NAND flash. If you are paranoid about NAND wear then I suggest that you DO NOT USE these images (Neither I nor the project will be held accountable for any NAND damage - this is entirely at your own risk) and instead copy their contents to ext2 images.

It is almost certain that your first boot of these images will show a lot of ftl messages and will lag somewhat - PLEASE LEAVE IT TO DO THIS - we now roll out clean userdata images rather than prepopulated ones (this should fix some issues with UUID's etc)

Please also immediately disable the UI animations in Settings > Display > Animations, I'm sure by now I dont need to explain why this is - we still have the same kernel after all

Reporting Issues/Requesting Features

Please remember, this is alpha quality software - there is still a lot to be done.

We presently do not have a proper issue tracker (I have taken the previous one down) because the one we had was becoming increasingly full of irrelevant noise, and ended up being a time vampire, with little benefit to the project.

As a temporary measure, I have added some boards to this forum in order for bugs to be reported (that way the forum mods can help us keep track)

Please take the time to file a proper bug report, 'iDroid is slow' is not constructive, and is a waste of developers time to answer, please if you wish to raise an issue be as specific as you can, this will greatly increase the chances of your issue being resolved and reduces the workload of the developers drastically.

Updates and Help Wanted

There will be NO Pepparkaka 11.03. This is not an April Fool's prank. If you do not know, the version naming scheme is based on the year and the month. Since there was no new version of Pepparkaka for the month of March, there is no 11.03. So don't be surprised if the next version after 11.02 is 11.04 or 11.05. The iDroid Project Dev Team are bad at counting.

For the original devices (iPhones 2G, 3G and iPod Touch 1G): the accelerometer is being fixed for Gingerbread and Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) features are being added. No ETAs on when these will be finally added to Pepparkaka or for a release date.

For the newer devices: porting still underway. There are only 4 people who are reversing at the moment and the iDroid Dev Team need more. More reversers = faster porting. If anyone knows people who are good with C and reversing, please convince them to help. The IRC channel #idroid-dev at irc.freenode.net will be a good place for them to start asking questions if they want to help. Also people with knowledge and skills with the linux kernel (driver writing, refactoring) are needed. No ETAs on when porting will be done.

Special mention to cmw on returning to the scene.

Those of you that track us (or me) on github, will have noticed a lot of changes to the ramdisk (and its associated binaries), these changes have not made it into this release, however I am gearing up to drop our current ramdisk set up and completely automate builds, this will enable us to run nightly builds in the near future.

What state is this in?

I have worked extremely hard to bring this port up to the same state as the previously release "MoJo" series.

This release actually fixes a number of longstanding bugs in our previous releases (for example, ringtones now work), there are however a couple of minor points that are missing from this release that were in the last of the MoJo series - These are not permanent issues, they are there simply because I dont have time to work on them at the moment.

I have put the previous SD Emulation hack back in, so that you can sync apps, media etc, It was my full intention to fix this properly using androids built in SD emulation functionality, I hit a roadblock with this however, so I have reverted to the old hack as a temporary measure until I can spend some solid time on getting this fixed.
As per the preview release, there is currently no support for the accelerometer in the userland, the kernel driver still works but our old libsensors does not - this will ultimately be a good thing as I now know how I can also implement the ALS, so the rewrite will be worthwhile (I just have not had time to do this) - IF YOU HAVE A NEED FOR THE ACCELEROMETER THEN DO NOT UPGRADE

This port should be pretty much on par with the froyo port with the exception for some fixed bugs of course, therefore the airplane toggle still applies for sim pin unlocks etc etc

I have completely removed ADWLauncher from all future builds.

Idroid News mobile site version

For those who want to view the iDroid Project: Unofficial News Blog on their mobile browsers, now it's customized for mobile browsing. It works on Mobile Safari on iOS and Android Browser on Android/iDroid.

If you are using Opera Mini on iOS, please navigate to http://www.idroidnews.co.cc/?m=1 to load the mobile version (you can also load the mobile site version on your regular PC browsers with that link). For some dumb typical Opera reason, the mobile site version does not load and the full site is shown instead. But Opera Mini correctly displays the mobile site versions of the iDroid Wiki and the iDroid Project Forums while Mobile Safari does not. Typical Opera.

It has been awhile since I have made a blog post. iX went through some serious changes. I recently switched domains and hosts. The good news is this is a release post. I’ll start by listing what hardware is functional in iX. To be clear, iX aims to provide an X11 based GNU/Linux distribution for Apple’s iDevices. We currently support the iPhone3G and IPT1G. Although, the iPhone2G can run iX as well.

What works:

1.) CPU

6.) WLAN – Scans properly with interfaces file configured correctly.

iDroid 11.01 Pepparkaka release! Android 2.3 Gingerbread for iDevices!

Congratulations to the iDroid Project for Porting Gingerbread to the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, and iPod Touch 1G (other devices not listed are not yet supported). Pepparkaka is Swedish for Gingerbread in case anyone is curious why it was named as such (more logic than MoJo).

New Versioning Scheme

From this point forth until we reach stable, our version numbering scheme will be as follows:

Release-Series YY.MM

Our old versioning scheme was flawed, and we came to the conclusion that until such a time as we have an officially "stable" release, that YY.MM version numbering makes a lot more sense.

This is an entirely new version of Android with our changes and fixes forward-ported.

What state is this in?

There is currently no SD emulation - the hack we used to use has been reverted and for good reason, android now natively has sd emulation functionality, however for it to work we need to bring our dated kernel in line with more current versions - I had a brief go at this but a lot of our core drivers need rewriting in order for this to become a reality and at the moment I simply dont have the time to work on an epic refactor of our kernel (Although I will pick this up in a few weeks)

openiBoot

No new openiBoot release is shipped with this version (The same version as the previous release is included), nothing has changed in the stable branch since the last release (A lot of heavy refactoring has been completed and a lot of openiboot re-written in preparation for the next release and support for newer devices but it is not ready for GA yet)

openiboot tools

NOTE - We used to bundle openiboot tools in with our releases up until now, due to the size of the tools now that we have windows versions and OSX versions we have decided to remove them from the release packages - you can get them (Installers are available too) at http://idroid.nickpack.com/openiBoot/Tools

Known Issues

Loopback devices are presently not cleanly unmounted (as has been the case since day 1), as a result an integrity check is forced at startup slowing down boot time a little.
Power Management - A large amount of progress has been made on power management in recent releases, but as yet not all device drivers have suspend/resume in them & we are still lacking CPU idle/clock gating so there is still a lot of work to be done before we achieve optimum battery life.

ISSUES SPECIFIC TO THIS RELEASE:
SIM Pin Support

Sim pin support is implemented in this release for all basebands, there is however at this point one caveat for some iPhone 3G basebands and those of you with an iPhone 2G - 3G ultrasn0w compatible baseband versions are not affected by this issue, only applicable to basebands that rely on a wildcard unlock and those that are pre ultrasn0w.

Wildcard unlock/iPhone 2G users will be able to enter their pin successfully and the baseband will unlock at the ril level, however android itself never actually sees this happen, therefore you have to go into Settings and enable airplane mode, then disable it again to get android to see that the baseband is unlocked - this will be fixed in a later release once the baseband communications layer has been rewritten - we figured that some sim pin support was better than none at all for the moment.

We have restored volume button functionality in this release, we have not yet approached the configuration you voted for in the button config poll - there are some technical challenges preventing it and it has also sparked a large amount of debate amongst the development team, therefore for the moment the button configuration is as follows:

Hardware buttons:

Hold/lock - back
Home - menu
Volume up - volume up (Not applicable to ipt builds)
Volume down - volume down (Not applicable to ipt builds)

We will discuss this more and address the problems at a later date.

SIM Pin Support

Sim pin support has been implemented in this release for all basebands, there is however at this point one caveat for those of you who have newer basebands and those of you with an iPhone 2G - 3G ultrasn0w compatible baseband versions are not affected by this issue, only applicable to basebands that rely on a wildcard unlock and those that are pre ultrasn0w.

Wildcard unlock/iPhone 2G users will be able to enter their pin successfully and the baseband will unlock at the ril level, however android itself never actually sees this happen, therefore you have to go into Settings and enable airplane mode, then disable it again to get android to see that the baseband is unlocked - this will be fixed in a later release once the baseband communications layer has been rewritten - we figured that some sim pin support was better than none at all for the moment.

First Boot Lag

The first boot of this release will be subject to significant lag for the first 2 minutes after booting - PLEASE LET THIS FINISH
The reason for this, is a clean userdata image being shipped with this release - this results in a significant performance increase, 2 minutes of lag on the first boot was seen as more than acceptable given the outright benefit of doing it.

Timezone stickiness
--------------------------------
Some testers have reported that iDroid is not remembering their timezone after setting it and rebooting, this will be fixed in a later release, but was not seen as important given that you cannot yet use iDroid as your daily OS.

If you are bothered about having your timezone persistent, the workaround is to add:persist.sys.timezone=America/Chicago
to your build.prop (Obviously substituting America/Chicago for your own timezone, You can do this from the terminal emulator)

OpeniBoot 0.2 and Bootlace 2.1.!

OpeniBoot has now been updated to version 0.2... To use it, you need new tools. Because of changed USB protocols, the original loadibec and oibc are NOT compatible with OpeniBoot 0.2. Likewise, these new tools will not work with the older OpeniBoot versions. New tools and OpeniBoot are not compatible with iOS 4.2.1! Wait for further updates for 4.2.1 compatibility.

Bootlace 2.1.1 is now available on BigBoss' repo. This can now flash OpeniBoot 0.2 to iPod Touch 1G without using a computer. This does not yet work on 4.2.1!

Also OpeniBoot is now compatible with native Windows. There is no more need to use a virtual machine. Please wait for the Windows Installation Guide to appear on the iDroid Wiki soon.

iOS 4.2.1

OpeniBoot Userland Installation

A while ago we posted about Bluerise and CPICH creating the necessary patches in order to flash OpeniBoot from userland. Neonkoala has now made this a reality and has implemented it in beta builds of Bootlace for testing.

This means that users will be able install OpeniBoot, necessary for using iDroid, using only iOS itself. This is a massive milestone for the project, as it extends the potential userbase of iDroid, and eliminates the need for PC auto-installers, which can be buggy and dangerous.

Bootlace 2.1 will be released soon, although no date is available. Testing is still ongoing. The iDroid team want to make sure this is as safe as possible due to the nature of the process. We will post about the full release as soon as it's out, but until then, here's a demonstration of the installation process:

OpeniBoot improvements

The iDroid team has asked everyone not to upgrade to 4.1 because loadibec and OpeniBoot does not work. Well, not anymore!!! Bluerise has reversed loadibec to work with iOS 4.1. Currently, it is still on the project repo, so one has to compile it themselves. This post will be updated once the new loadibec has been uploaded to the file hosting mirror.

EDIT/UPDATE: The modified loadibec is now live at nickpack's mirror. Just follow the links in the Wiki Installation Guides.

However, the team asks for caution when upgrading to 4.1 especially when using ultrasn0w unlock. You will lose ultrasn0w unlock if you upgrade to stock 4.1 using iTunes. To fix this, you need to create a customized ipsw with pwnagetool without updating baseband. I'm sure there are more comprehensive tutorials/guides for this... Google is our friend.

Also the kernel patches for userland flashing of OpeniBoot are finished thanks to Bluerise and CPICH. Now please wait for Neonkoala to have the routines for flashing openiboot implemented in Bootlace. Once that's done, Bootlace will install OpeniBoot. No need for a PC to install OpeniBoot!!!

Maverick Meerkat

Because of the recent jailbreak controversies with limera1n and greenpois0n/SHAtter on October 10, 2010, few mentioned the release of Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat.

Anyways, for those who want to upgrade but are afraid of incompatibilities for loadibec and oibc, there should be no problems. Also I have tested loadibec and oibc to be sure there are none. Openiboot works fine. =)

Weekend Updates

With a new week comes new changes.

The layout and design of this news blog has been changed (to look like the iDroid Project wiki). Also links and content have been modified.

Getting back to the iDroid Project news, Bluerise has tweeted that flashing OpeniBoot from userland is coming soon. This means that the supported iDevice installs OpeniBoot without having to use a computer or USB cable. Testing is still being conducted to make sure it works properly and will not brick the iDevice. Great job Bluerise and CPICH!!!

2010 September 22 - Progress reports

Before anyone asks when it will be available, the iDroid dev team are still testing everything out to make sure there are no bugs when these are released to the public.

Firstly, Bluerise with the help of CPICH have managed to flash OpeniBoot on the iPhone without the use of a PC. Yes, if all goes well, you can flash OpeniBoot via Bootlace/Cydia. The installation process can be done entirely on the iPhone/iPod. Well again, this is still under testing and improvement as releasing it unfinished may have it end up like a certain installer that has a high chance of bricking iPhone/iPod.

Secondly, Ricky26 has managed to turn the iDroid LCD off and on. Previously it was only the Backlight that turned off when the iDroid went into standby/sleep. The iDroid still runs hot but that is still being fixed along with other power management functions.

These new features will be released to the public when all the bugs are worked out and are running immaculately.

As announced in the idroidproject twitter: MoJo 1.02 will be out next week. Wait a sec, the MoJo was 1.0 right? What happened to 1.01?

Well 1.01 was the 2nd release for iPhone 2G. It was released a day after MoJo 1.0 to fix sound. iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 1G (1st Generation) are on MoJo 1.0.

New features? Well it's faster than 1.0...

Next, we are looking for people to submit custom designed wallpapers for iDroid.

We have a new app (in testing) that will be a wallpaper gallery with our custom wallpapers from the community.

Using the test release for the next MoJo (iDroid FroYo 2.2):

Here are its boot times all on an 8GB iPhone 2G.

From selecting Android in OpeniBoot to Android Boot Logo: 48 secs

From Android Boot Logo to LockScreen: 132 secs (2 mins and 12 secs)

Total Boot time: 180 secs or 3 mins.

iPhone 2G iOS 3.1.2 boots in 50 seconds. This is almost the same time it takes to reach the Android Boot Logo.

iDroid boots slower, so is it still worth the install? You bet.

Never looking back, only going forward.

2010 August 12 - iPod Touch 1G MoJo Release

After countless technical difficulties and build errors (thanks to a lot of weird changes on the official Android Repo), Nick has now been able to build a MoJo release for iPod Touch 1G (1st Generation).

Anyways, future releases for the supported devices will include superuser and ADW Launcher. Timetable for minor release is unknown.

Also the forums have been cleaned up. So if anyone has a specific query about iPhoDroid, NAiDroid, or iX they have their own respective subforums.

2010 August 12 - Bootlace 2.0 and iX

After weeks in Beta (or probably a week), Neonkoala has now released Bootlace version 2.0.

So what's new? It has a fancy splash graphic and of course it can now install the iDroid (MoJo) images directly to your iPhone. Take note: This does NOT install OpeniBoot.

Well Bootlace does not install it YET. Neonkoala is working on having Bootlace install iDroid and/or OpeniBoot with a single Cydia App. This way, there will be no need for a PC with OSX or Linux for installation. When this comes out, there will be no more problems with running Ubuntu in a Windows VM or having issues with "scroll mode" [sic].

In other news: our other iPhone Linux partners/friends have released a working Ubuntu for iPhone. Check out iX for more details and download link.

For all our friends with iPod Touch 1st Generation (1G): the release has been delayed because of build problems, i.e. it won't build/compile. Nickp666 is working on it so please don't spam or flame him. Be more appreciative of the work done by the iDroid devs. You don't need to donate or help in the development (but both options are extremely helpful), just be respectful and grateful. Don't try to spread the releases with pirated apps inside (Google Apps or Android Market).

It's been a slow week trying to fix any bugs reported in MoJo's release.

Well Sound should now be working for most if not all 2G users.

The Devs are still working on the 3G bug with the Headphones booting (3G users do not boot Android with your Headphones plugged in or else it will crash). Devs are also figuring out how to make the Headphones work on 2G.

Ddominator has updated the install guides on the Wiki with Alex's install guide (this guide is included in the MoJo release). Thanks alex.

Yeah the Devs are still stumped with PMU and GPU, so don't ask them!!!

PS. The MoJo was a joke by Bluerise but for some reason it stuck as the official name for the first release. Maybe the next release (v1.1) will be SloMo (but not slow), LetsGo, HelLo or some crazy thing that also rhymes with FroYo.

It's a nice productive week.

First, FroYo 2G has service restored.

Now, sound, vibration, and improved accelerometer support are committed to the latest version (but still being tested before public release).

SD Card emulation for both 2G and 3G is being worked on by Dario.

Don't ask on when GPU, PMU and Bluetooth will be done...

So this news blog is about the iDroid Project. So all news about Android on iPhone goes here.

But James (channel username James) has started the iX project and it should be reported here as well.

iX is Ubuntu on iPhone (technically Xubuntu since it's running XFCE4 instead of GNOME). You can find the updates and news at http://blog.ixproject.org/

For those who are also interested in Ubuntu (as well as Android or more than Android), please visit the iX project and show your support.

Also Jacquesdupontd is porting meego to iPhone as well.

Good luck to all of us (Android, Ubuntu, meego, and any other linux distro devs) porting these OSes to the iPhone.

2010 June 28 - iDroid 2.2 FroYo

With the release of the FroYo Source Code, our devs have created unofficial versions of 2.2 for iDroid.

Currently, these are only for iPhone 3G and there may be a lot of bugs involved. You may lose service, wifi... it may not even boot properly.

We all know the unofficial images of FroYo on the iPhone.

I'm sure the iDroid Project will port 2.2 soon. But then again, the crappy drivers (PMU, GPU) are still not working...

2010 June 20 - OpeniBoot and Touch Support now on 2G

rshah is at it again.

He has now enabled iPhone 2G Openiboot to have Touch Support, i.e. you can touch the OS you want to boot it! Previously this was only available for 3G users but he has now ported it to 2G.

However since the firmware drivers are being loaded into OpeniBoot, there will be a ~3 second delay before the menu shows up (seen in videos).

He has also created a theming option for OpeniBoot just by adding menutheme.bin into /private/var. menutheme.bin is a custom theme that gives it well themed icons and background. Removing menutheme.bin reverts it to default.

2010 June 19 - More Accelerometer

Okay to update the previous post on June 16, 2010: Dario has got accelerometer working in Android for iPhone 3G and also somewhat in iPhone 2G. However, it has been revealed that the 2G values were inverted (beats me too) and a new fix has been implemented. So there are separate drivers for 3G and 2G. However, the source code in the kernel is still the same.

Dario has updated the kernel source code and the drivers (sensors.apple.so).

Thanks to Jonsey for pointing this out.

Dario on the forums has gotten basic accelerometer working with 3G. Basic in a sense that you can now switch the orientation of the phone's screen.

This is only working on 3G using Dario's kernel and the provided driver.

More updates to come.

UPDATE: June 18 - Dario's patch has been fixed and is not fully working. Confirmed working on 2G. Although it is not the full accelerometer since it only detects rotation (and rotates the screen from portrait to landscape), but it's a good start! Maybe this will be improved in the future.

2010 June 12 - OpeniBoot and Touchscreen

rshah has made an Openiboot image with the touchscreen working. What does this mean? You can now touch the icons to automatically boot to that OS instead of pressing Volume Up/Down and Home buttons.

Currently it only works for iPhone 3g and iPod Touch 1st gen. A 2G version is still being developed. This is still being tested and not publicly available. Stay tuned for more updates.

2010 June 11 - Multitouch Fix

Ricky26 has refixed the "ghosting" on the previous touchscreen drivers fix. Now from the previous fix, sensitivity was decreased so that hovering did not register a touch. This works very well with the android 1.6 but would cause "ghosting" in 2.x (due to 2.x having multitouch). Do not worry on what "ghosting" is because ricky26 has fixed them in anticipation of porting to android 2.2 once the source is available and once PMU and GPU are working.

The blog's template has been updated since the default was too boring.

2010 June 8-9 - Vibration and Touch Sensitivity

Bluerise has fixed most of the bugs for 3G Vibration. It is compiled in Alex's latest kernel.

ddominator and rshah have also fixed the sensitivity for the touchscreen (super-sensitivity). Originally, even HOVERING the finger 1mm from the screen would register as a touch. Now only real TOUCHES (finger has to touch the screen) are registered.

EDIT: the previous drivers posted had an accidental deletion for the zephyr2 (3G)... please download the new files...

2010 June 8 - 3G Vibration

Again, resident genius dev Bluerise proves why he is a genius. He has made vibration possible in iDroid 3G. However, it is a bit buggy sometimes and Bluerise will investigate it "later". Alex or Nick may soon have a kernel up and running on Nick's mirror server.

In other news, the new iPhone's name is officially announced--the iPhone 4. Of course we already knew about its hardware and capabilities...

According to Bluerise:

"sometimes it doesn't end to vibrator, you'll need to "activate" a vibration again to disable it instead. Crazy somehow."

No real news in the past few days. But there are some interesting tidbits.

3G users please thank and support Bluerise. He is almost done with the vibration fix/driver for 3G. You can read more and follow him on his Twitter. Please don't pester Bluerise about it since he is still testing and making sure vibration is bug free. The news blog will be updated once the final and working fix is released by Bluerise.
Mark (MarkAttack89) has given ddominator official permission to use his images for the boot logo. As seen on the May 30 news post, there was a video about it. Download the modified framework-res.apk from http://www.mediafire.com/?jqybzuiiymw#1 and overwrite the old one in system/framework. You can use Linux to mount system.img and overwrite the file there or use ADB (if it's working). WARNING: the framework-res.apk for this was from a 2G iDroid so it may not work with all iDroids. Back-up all your images just to be safe.

2010 May 31 - Vibration on the 2G.

3G and iPod Touch ports may take more time as a real driver is needed. ~~The 2G already has kernel support since it came with the open-source (I think).~~

EDITS:

According to Bluerise, the 2G doesn't need a kernel driver as the baseband is controlling the vibrator. We can just send it a message via ril or something to make it vibrate. Also the 3G's vibrator is a timing device, so we'll need to access it through the timer...

Yes Bluerise knows his stuff... unlike me (but ask me about medicine and I'll see what I can do)

Since we're talking about Bluerise, for those who compile their own kernels, Bluerise has updated his git repo.

OK after more testing, AKA trial and error, ddominator has done his final calibration for the multitouch drivers.

2010 May 28 - multitouch now fulling working!!!

ddominator (that's me) has calibrated the touchscreen drivers for 2G to give the iDroid the full width of the touchscreen.

Before the iDroid only had an X range of -3 to 296. Now that's short of the 320 pixels resolution it's supposed to have. But with the fix, the iDroid now has an X range of -3 to 323. That's the full range.

Testing has been done on 2G (ddominator) and 3G (Ninn) ddominator cloned alex's kernel and config and just patched/fix the necessary files.

Here's how to patch it if you have cloned the kernel_common source:

For iPhone 2G

fergy has posted his kernel for 3G.

According to those who tried it, it runs just as fast as alex's kernel.

Other improvements are bluetooth.

However, iDroid does not have the means to implement bluetooth yet. So bluetooth working is still a big question mark until someone truly takes fergy's kernel for a spin.
